Times

We have set times for a private charter. Standard afternoon cruises are 12-4pm or 1-5pm. Evening/sunset cruises are 5-9pm or 6-10pm. If you wish to charter our vessels outside of these timings please contact us.

Prices 

All prices provided are in $AUS and include 10% GST. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Minimum hire

For vessel hire between January and November we have a 3 hour vessel hire minimum. In December we have a 4 hour minimum for a private charter. 6 or more hour boat hire is at the discretion of the master and subject to availability. 

Wet weather

We cannot guarantee blue sky everyday. Our vessels are designed to be all weather boats with ample indoor space. In the unlikely event of the weather being dangerous, we will postpone and reschedule the charter. Sydney Harbour is known as one of the safest harbours in the world and is well protected from strong ocean currents and ocean winds.

Bookings and Payment

A 50% deposit secures your chosen time/date. The invoice will be calculated on the final number of guests advised, not later than 7 days prior to the charter or the number actually on board, whichever is the greater number. Full payment is required 7 days prior to your charter. Payment can be made by EFT, Visa, MasterCard, Amex or cash. Please note that if you don’t pay for your booking in full, the charter cannot go ahead. 3% surcharge applies to all Visa, MasterCard and Amex transactions. 

Bond

A bond, in the form of a credit card authorisation, must be provided and processed before the commencement of the charter, which will be released within seven days of the charter – unless any damages have occurred or you extend your charter. The amount of the bond will be $2000 unless otherwise stated.

Cancellation

Deposits will be refunded if the charter is cancelled more than 60 days prior to the charter. If cancelled within 60 days, a refund will be given only if the time is re- booked. Bookings cancelled within 7 days of the charter will be invoiced for the full cost. 

Boarding

We allow time for guests to board which varies on different wharves. Our vessels will be in the wharf vicinity at your chosen time, but we cannot guarantee the boarding time at public wharves, due to congestion by other charter vessels and ferries. 

Drinking and alcohol consumption

All our vessels have liquor licenses and follow the Liquor Act 2007 laws. Our crew hold current NSW certified RSA qualifications and monitor and control the consumption of alcohol onboard, regardless of whether you purchase liquor onboard or supply your own. We do not permit shots or drinking games. Any intended passenger who in the opinion of the crew shows any signs of intoxication either from alcohol or any other substance abuse prior to the commencement of a charter will be refused access to board the vessel. 

Food

Substantial food must be supplied and consumed on board by the hirer of the charter. This can be BYO or organised through our catering at the time of booking the charter. By Substantial food, we mean a proper meal that is more than chips and dips or bar snacks. We will not the leave the wharf if no food has been provided unless organised prior that no food is needed.

disembarking

All charters return to a disembarkation point at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled return time in order to allow for proper berthing and disembarkation of passengers and their belongings. 

Number of guests

Maximum passenger for Silver Spirit is 40. This must be complied with at all times. Under no circumstances are you allowed to take more than the surveyed maximum number of people on Silver Spirit.
